Quarter, Half & Whole Options
Our Commercial Angus beef is hormone-free and finished antibiotic-free. They are grass-fed and finished on local grain. Vacuum-sealed and clearly labeled for your convenience. Buying locker beef is a great way to save money versus individual cuts.
How It Works
First, you will put a deposit on the next available beef. When they go into the butcher, we will reach out to you with a hanging weight. The hanging weight is the cleaned carcass weight and the price per lb. ($4.50 per lb.) that goes to us! Normal take home weight is about 60% of the hanging weight. We use Alvord’s Custom Meats in Sunnyside as our butcher. After you receive your hanging weight from us, you will create an account with Alvord’s and fill out your Order Form, where you can choose steak thickness, roast weights and what cuts you would like vs ground burger, etc.
Our beef averages 700lbs hanging weight but can vary up to 100lbs larger or smaller depending on the animal. The butcher (Alvord’s) will hang dry your meat for approximately 11-14 days. Alvord’s will reach out when your beef is cut and wrapped and you will be responsible for picking up your beef within 3 days of notification. Upon pickup, you pay Alvord’s the Cut and Wrap fee ($1.15* cents per lb. on hanging weight) and your portion of the $160* Slaughter Fee.
