We are building a commercial cow-calf operation that is Angus based with a focus on sustainability. In the spring, after branding, cattle spend the summer and fall in large rangeland pastures along the Eastern Cascades. After the fall roundup, once we have shipped the calves, the cows take advantage of crop residues and recycled commodities from other types of agriculture, including carrot tops and apples. Our cattle are strictly handled on horseback. This allows us to develop our ranch horses and insures that cattle are the least stressed as possible.
In addition to the cow-calf operation, we also provide locker beef that is raised on pasture and supplemented with grain to insure a premium product that is well marbled without excess finish. This insures beef that is still lean without sacrificing quality or taste.
